The Images page allows users to view all AWS EC2 images associated with their account. This tool enables quick filtering and sorting of images to identify potential cost savings. It's also possible to view image metadata, such as installed software, for 7fivefive-approved images.

Login to the Lens Portal

In the left sidebar, expand the
Workstations
menu and then select theConfiguration
option -
In the menu, under the
Templates
section, select theImages
option

Filtering images
The Images page allows you to filter your EC2 images based on which account owns the image. Common owners are:

7fivefive
This is a 7fivefive-created image that has been shared with your account for use with the Lens system -
self
This is an image that was created in your account. It may be a derivative of a 7fivefive-created image, and therefore may have Image Library data associated with it.
You can also filter the images based on whether the image is part of the Image Library.
Showing image information
To view more details about an image:

Select an image from the table

Click the
Info
button -
If the image is part of the Image Library, then it may also have a ‘README’ page and information about the installed software.

Creating a template
You can easily create a template from an image by following the steps below:

Click the
Create template from image
button -
Follow the steps in the template wizard to create your new template
