Definition

Allocation

An allocation allows a particular user access to a pool or specific workstation. See this page for more.

Egress

Network traffic leaving a network or resource. In public cloud environments, egress is often charged based on usage, such as $ per GB.

Infrastructure Availability Manager (IAM)

A Lens component that is responsible for ensuring infrastructure starts and stops at the correct times.

Ingress

Network traffic entering a network or resource.

Reservation

Pools

A group of workstations that Lens offers to users.

Its recommended that all workstations in the pool should be identical or of a similar type so that they are interchangeable.

Site

Lens supports multiple locations (also known as sites), allowing users to access and manage workstations and infrastructure in multi-cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments.

Each site has its own roles, pools, templates, schedules and more.

Workstation Availability Manager (WAM)

A Lens component that is responsible for ensuring workstations start and stop at the correct times.
